Semester 2 Diary

I can now say that my project has been finished. It has been an incredibly insightful experience into what the future of design, art and architecture will be like. More importantly, it has helped me develop a product that I believe could shape the world around us and become a standard in the future. I have really enjoyed doing this project, both the research and the pitch for Imium.

Here are some images with the final product!

With the feedback I got from Carleen, it became clear that I needed to rearange all of the content I had, I had to move away from the layout I had, and I also had to Explain some things better and link them to create a more cohesive document. Hopefully with these drastic changes I will be closer to my goal!

Another thing I have been working on is the 3D models of the individual chain pieces. Here are some renders of those:

I've been redoing the pages you see above based on the feedback I recieved from Bev. I also worked on how Imium would look and what would be its core design, this being, the pieces that would make the chain. I was looking at different chain formations but nothing struck me as something that could self assmble in a way that it could create organic structures. The problem with this is because for Imium to work, the shapes have to be simple, but be able to give organic looking results. That is when I began to look for other designs and came up with and idea based of this image from Ross lovegrove:

looking at this design, I separated each component into trianglesm which would give me a simple basic chain Unit to work with, but create designs as organic as this one. In the following "Broad game description" you can see the separation of each unit and further along I will be able to show how it will be implemented with a larger design!

Small update on here. Folliwing Carleen and Scot's advice, I decided to change the font into something more readable. I'm sticking to something safe so I chose Gotham.

Apart from that, minor tweaks in the headings and descriptions of each section and a new USP's page!

I have been working on my pitch for Imium. I decided to keep my images to a 7x7(inch) ratio so I could make a book later on. Here are some of the pages I have come up with:

Here is the presentation I worked on over the holidays for Imium:
